Building transparent AI support for pharmacist medication review.

Rediscover Dosage Canada Inc. is a small team designing a structured, human-in-the-loop workspace for statin-related medication reviews — one where a pharmacist's judgment, not a model, decides the outcome.

Our story

A workspace built around the pharmacist, not around the model.

Rediscover Dosage started from a simple observation: medication review pulls together scattered case notes, guideline material and professional judgment, and very little software is designed to organize that process transparently.

Rather than building a system that produces a dosing answer, the team is building a structured intake, source-linked guidance layer, explainable AI-assisted drafting, and a clear human approval step — each visible and editable on its own.

The current build is a demonstration-grade product using synthetic, statin-focused case material. It exists to show how the workflow could work, not to make clinical decisions or claim regulatory validation.

    Case context, guideline sources and drafting logic are kept as distinct, inspectable layers rather than one blended output.

    Citation stays attached

    Every AI-assisted suggestion is designed to carry its source material forward, so a pharmacist can check it rather than trust it blindly.

    Approval is a separate step

    Reviewing, editing and approving a case is treated as a distinct human action, never something a model completes on its own.

How the workspace has been built so far.

  1. Phase 01

    Clean-build foundation

    A structured application foundation was established, including the design system, navigation and content scaffolding used across every page of the workspace.

  2. Phase 02

    Structured synthetic case model

    A synthetic, statin-focused case model was built to represent intake notes, medication history and tolerance observations in a consistent, reviewable structure.

  3. Phase 03

    AI-assisted draft and explainability surfaces

    Early AI-assisted drafting and explainability surfaces were prototyped to show how a suggestion, its cited source and its confidence could be presented together.

  4. Phase 04

    Governance and transparency layer

    A transparency layer — covering intended use, source citation and human-review requirements — is being developed alongside the review interface itself.

  5. Phase 05

    Benchmarking and validation work

    Structured benchmarking and independent validation are planned as future work once the core review workflow is further along.

    The workspace is built and demonstrated using synthetic, non-patient case material designed to represent realistic review scenarios.

    Guideline and reference material used in the workflow is intended to be traceable back to material a pharmacist can inspect directly.

  • Honest feature status

    Every capability is labelled with its current build status so what is prototype-stage is never presented as finished or validated.
